Andrius Zlabys performed last movement “Chaconne” from my Piano Sonata (2008) at Gidon Kremer’s Lockenhaus Festival in Austria on 12 July. Chris Falzone, the dedicatee of the sonata, has by now played it in France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Monaco.
Incidentally, let me share with you a wonderful documentary about Gidon Kremer called “Svoboda byt’” (in Russian). It was shot by Alla Sigalova during my visit to Riga last year and features glimpses of yours truly.
